Microsoft’s browser connection for letting Codex operate and inspect a real web page through Playwright.

Best for: Specialized browser loops that need persistent state, rich page introspection, or iterative reasoning, such as exploratory automation or self-healing tests.

Limitations: High-throughput coding-agent workflows where Playwright CLI plus Skills is more token-efficient, or unsupervised purchases, messages, account changes, or bypassing website protections.
